re:creation
Quantum forgeries and AI parodies
re:creation confronts old masters with modern quantum teleportation and machine learning techniques, to explore the concept of original creation in the realms of technology and culture. Maria Kling’s Original Simulation and Roni Kaufman’s Portrait Robot are presented in a dialogue of originals and copies, physics and computer science, digital and physical representations.
Through a virtual gallery of quantum teleported art pieces and an algorithmic collage generator, alongside an array of prints and materializations, the exhibition invites the audience to reassess the idea of authorship. In doing so, re:creation positions historical masterworks not as untouchable artifacts, but as living conversations, revealing the reciprocal inspiration between art and science.
